Taldan human male warrior. Compatriot of Dabwick in Cassomir, back in their early years. 19 years old in 4707. Big ever since he was born on the family farm, and only ever had a mind for fighting. Was recruited into the Shipyard Watch, where he was hoping to make his way through the ranks.
During the first interlude of Act III, Chet was absorbed into a painting of Carcosa in Miacknian Mun’s house and forgotten by Dabwick.
After that incident, Chet was assumed to be dead or a deserter by the Shipyard Watch, and soon he was forgotten by them.
In Chapter 168, Dabwick dreamed of the shame they felt over having led Chet to be trapped in Mun’s painting for so many years.
In Chapter 169, he was released from the trap that took him to Carcosa eleven years earlier. He appeared to be over fifty years of age, as though more time had passed for him there than for the others. He still carried the same gear Dabwick had last seen him with.
Despite all that Alyanna, Chet, and Sam had suffered in Carcosa (and the fact that they seemingly hadn’t had anything to eat except for grubs and mushrooms during all their years of exile), all three still seemed to be intrigued by the possibility of being returned back to the Empty City.
In Chapter 170, as a battle with Grip’s Shachath Demon erupted in Dabwick’s apartment complex, Alyanna teleported away with Chet and Sam.
