a.k.a. Miacknian Mun’s “Anomalous Friend”
An entity referenced by Etham Baler as someone Mun “met in the swamp.” An advisor of some sort?
It turned out to be some sort of foul spawn of the Outer God of Fertility and Monsters. Giant, black, tree-like monster, roots end in hooves, trunk covered in drooling maws. A large aberration designed to grab creatures, pin them against itself, and drain their Strength. Anyone subject to that is driven mad with schizophrenia. DR/slashing, immune to acid, electricity and fire.
In Chapter 166, Devin told the party that Mun would feed people to the creature and it would whisper secrets to him.
In Chapter 168, the party faced the Dark Young. It spoke to them in Aklo, proclaiming itself to be an oracle and it offered to tell them secret truths. Pandora asked where Miacknian Mun was and it told her that Mun “has followed the only god that he knows matters, into the depths of The Soul.
After a very difficult fight, during which the abomination grabbed Pandora and drained her of blood, it was finally slain by Dabwick.
