On the night of the 26th of Pharast, The Prisoner contacted Dabwick, Grip, and Pandora while they slept and sent a series of images:

First, there was the sound of a bell, the bell from the Shrine of Thaffaar.

Then, the Prisoner’s alien voice whispered in their minds.

If you insist, I will show you all. If it’s true that I already DID.

When is now? When is now? When is…

And then the party saw a solar system. At its heart, was the Bright Mother, the yellow star that nourishes Golarion.

And then, in their unique orbits: all thirteen planets.

“Wait. Thirteen planets?” Pandora’s brain was spinning at what they were seeing. “There are only eleven planets. And where’s the asteroid belt?”

Then, the vision zoomed in to the third rock from the sun, beautiful blue-green Golarion.

The surface was ruled by freaky cone-shaped creatures with numerous tentacles and pincers.

They were talking to some new allies. Their new allies were talking to them from a moment nearly one million years in the past.

An idea communicated from the Prisoner: these bodies would suffice. They live over 5,000 years and are capable of fine motor manipulation.

It is done.

Suddenly, the minds of every single one of the cone-shaped creatures was sent a million years into their past, to inhabit unrecognizable bodies—arriving at the exact moment the world they inhabited was destroyed. Nearly a million years before. And, in an instant, they were all dead.

But the Great Race continued. In new bodies. Again.

And the war against the Flying Polyps continued.

The bell tolled again…

And Pandora and Grip’s minds moved on to whatever dreamscape swallowed them next.

But Dabwick remained. Watching ancient Golarion evaporate around them. And seeing… in the distance… in the far, far distance… a flash of white…

And then they woke.
