A Keleshite woman with brown, wind-scoured, leathery skin; eyes clouded with glaucoma; and long, thin, wispy gray hair. The characters had an image of her during the Prologue, in the unnamed city, staring at them with an expression of horror.
In Chapter 34, Dora saw her again as part of a psychometry vision of Thema’s wedding band. She was saying, “It wakes!”
In Chapter 142, while traveling to the Dreamlands on their final Dream Quest, Dora, Vik, and Grip had a vision of the Prisoner AS this old woman, chained in her grim granite cell.
In Chapter 145, Dora meditated on the sound of the bells they’d been hearing every time they crossed into the Dreamlands and realized that they were real-world objects being heard by the Prisoner from inside Biting Lash's fortress in Okeno, and it/this woman had been desperately trying to reach them.
