In Chapter 99, in the margins of page 42 of Men and Vultures: Denizens of the Darkened Depths and Dead Skies, the party uncovered a list of seven objects that Count Lowls had apparently used to gain access to the Mad Poet:
- Viscount's Signet Ring
- Feline Tail (Blue & Purple Mottled Fur)
- Skull of Ghoul Royalty
- Green Stone Idol of a Water Lizard
- Night Hag Ambassador's Heartstone
- Captain's Tricorne
- Red Webbed Foot
In Chapter 100, after uncovering this list, the party was able to organize the books from Lowls' footlocker into groupings of three that were each relevant to researching particular gifts.
In Chapters 100 and 101, they were able to complete research on the gifts and learn passphrases that would allow them to use the Dreamlands Excursion ritual to pursue them.
In Chapters 103 through 106, they secured the ring.
In Chapters 107 through 111, they secured the tail.
In Chapters 116 through 120, they secured the hat.
In Chapters 126 through 128, they secured the foot.
In Chapters 130 through 132, they secured the skull.
In Chapters 137 and 138, they secured the idol.
In Chapters 142 through 144, they secured the heartstone.
In Chapter 150 (Part 1), the party presented their collection of gifts to the Mad Poet and they proved to be sufficient enough to not only earn them a stay at the Oasis, but also a boon from Alhazred in return.
