Carpenter aboard the Sellen Starling.
Middle-aged female halfling, looks like a young human child. Very pale skin, flaxen hair worn in two braids, bright blue eyes. Keeps her skin covered at all times and may have burns and scars she is hiding. Married to Wreben Goodearth.
In Chapter 100, Wreben revealed to Grip that he and Gossa had spent many years in the control of the Winter Witches of Irrisen.
In Chapter 113, Gossa confided in Dora that her life had been spent so long in the pursuit of only one thing—simple survival—and that she was finally ready to reach for something more than that for herself. She asked Dora to teach her how to read, and Dora eagerly agreed to do so.
In Chapter 136, Gossa shared her full name, having learned the Way of the Waves on the Starling: “Gossa Martasdotter Sky-heart Goodearth.”
