A black iron morningstar, warped and splattered with blood. Found in the basement of Briarstone Asylum with the rest of the gear the party picked up. Carried by Ray upon leaving the cells.
In Chapter 21, Dora performed a psychometry vision on the weapon and learned its name (“Hoarflame”) and some of its dark history. It had been presented (while still magical) to Ray as a gift by a man named Kristoph van Horten.
In Chapter 94, Vik incorporated the weapon into the construction of Vanity.
