The name given to the southern two-thirds of the so-called Windswept Wastes. A vast, sweltering wasteland of blasted rock and rolling sand dunes that straddles the transitional lands between Avistan and Casmaron. Created when the Tarrasque utterly destroyed Ninshabur, around 5,000 years before the events of this story. Previously a vast, fertile landscape heavily populated and filled with cities and farmland.
Nominally part of the Empire of Kelesh, but largely left alone. Nearly unpopulated. A nearly lifeless place—especially in what’s now called the Parchlands.
The Meraz Desert seems to be slowly growing, eating more and more of central Casmaron by the year.
