Middle-aged woman with silver-white hair, guarding an area behind the barricade in the upper floor of Briarstone Asylum. Wields a crossbow. Kind eyes. She has expressed her desire to not communicate and is considered mute.
She and Naysa turned over a particular record from the Briarstone chaplain’s record room to Gull in Chapter 18.
In Chapter 19, she took active participation in the group combat with Mr. Gabriel after the doppelganger attempted to assassinate Dora.
In Chapter 31, the players learned her surname and that she shared it with Bates. Both were committed at Briarstone Asylum by the same person, a man named Horace Yopchick. Mura was committed decades ago because of her mutism, Bates more recently because of his seizures. The staff always believed both conditions to be the result of abuse. But because they were admitted in different decades and treated by different doctors in different wings, no one ever put together that they are siblings.
During the solstice ceremonies in Chapter 49, she was shocked to learn that she was related to Bates.
