DEITY (?)
a.k.a. The Living God
A vicious tyrant and ruler of Razmiran who claims to be a god.
Appeared in Xer in 4661, claiming to have been raised to divinity by the Test of the Starstone, and began his conquest of the region. He murdered local leaders, conjured storms of fire upon communities that resisted his rule, and within a year had ripped a vast chunk of land from the River Kingdoms and made it his own.
The tenets of faith in Razmir are relatively simple: Life is about the acquisition of gold and power. Those who follow the teachings of the Living God may enjoy life’s luxuries while blasphemers and heretics deserve only to toil for the benefit of the faithful.
Worship of Razmir is the mandatory state religion of Razmiran. All other faiths are outlawed, and their practitioners burned to death. Razmiran priests make up the bureaucracy, the police, the military, the judges, juries, and executioners of society here. They are all masked, they are all obeyed without question, and they are generally vicious sadists with a lust for power.
