One result of dying from Xhamen-Dor‘s infestation. A number of the corpses in Harrigan's Warehouse transformed into these Undead creatures that first seemed to be similar, Zombie-like monsters, but were revealed to be varyingly stronger/more powerful, depending on the relative experience and might of the victim (so, in crunch terms, this is likely a Template applied to a base creature, not a universal transformation into something else.)
The Seeded Corpse Puppets the party fought in Chapter 157 demonstrated the following: DR overcome by bludgeoning or slashing damage. Fast healing. A Death Burst effect releasing a cloud of spores on all adjacent creatures.
Unlike a typical Zombie, these creatures seemed to be part of a hive mind of some sort and may be subject to mind-affecting effects (though this potential vulnerability was not tested).
One of the creatures demonstrated that it had the ability to engulf/enwrap at least two other living creatures simultaneously with tendrils spawned from inside its head. The exact result of this ability was not determined, though it seemed to be resulting in a more rapid spread of fungus than the party was accustomed to, based on their own Seedborne Infestation.
