A member of the Stewards of the Vault. A Keleshite woman in her mid-/late-30’s. She has a shaved head and eyebrows, and a series of horizontal red lines painted on her cheeks.
Entered the Mysterium with Elder Lythiin, Stazi, Stanhope, Tharivol, and Nheb on 23 Pharast, 4719, in pursuit of Count Lowls and Miacknian Mun.
Survived the assault by Hounds of Tindalos on the University Level.
On the second level, Sister Faria managed to avoid many of the roaming dangers on the floor by Dimension Door-ing directly to the valve gate with Elder Lythiin and Brother Arzin. After Elder Lythiin went down the valve gate to the Cipher Obscura level in Act IV Interlude Part 5, Sister Faria observed his behavior and immediately closed the gate.
In Act IV Interlude Part 6, while trying to convince Stazi and Tharivol to not descend to the Cipher Obscura level, Sister Faria shared some of her story:
I am Faria Shabarah. I was born in Hesheq, the capital of Khattib, though I am of the Aishmayar. I traveled nearly 5,000 miles to reach Katheer. Around the Betul Sea and Kardaji Bay. Across the Plains of Xexos and Anvar. I have walked the Meraz Desert. I have climbed the Zho Mountains. I have seen the flying carpets of Khundarai. I have studied and prayed. I have trained my body and my mind. And I took a vow to protect others. I took a vow to a god who sees… but who doesn’t really care. But I swore, nevertheless. To protect. Even if it means laying down my life.
I am Faria, daughter of Rozhima. I am a sworn Steward of the Vault. I have stood vigil at the door. I have walked the Cipher Obscura. I have knelt before the Keeper.
Sister Faria was left behind by Stazi and Tharivol in Act IV Interlude Part 6 when they went below to the Cipher Obscura and their deaths.
The party found her corpse on the Arcana level of the Mysterium in Chapter 177, after having been drained by the Dread Wraith and turned into a Wraith Spawn. Her Undead existence was ended by Grip.
