CLERIC 12 OF THE BLACK BUTTERFLY
An Elven man who was first mentioned as apparently having joined Stazi and Stanhope in investigating the wreck of the Aurora, and was so (apparently) disturbed by what he’d seen that Chester observed him to be sweating (something Elves almost never do).
He departed Cassomir with Stazi and Stanhope on a ship bound for Absalom, apparently following the trail of Lowls and Mun.
In Chapter 155, it was learned that he had been a member of the Esoteric Knights of Evolvement, but was not present when Etham Baler accidentally Seeded the group with Xhamen-Dor‘s Contagious Lore infestation.
In Chapter 159, the party learned (via a psychometry vision) that Tharivol (along with Stazi and Stanhope) had been Seeded with Xhamen-Dor when they investigated the scuttled Aurora in Abadius.
In Chapter 173, Sister Thyrr informed the party that Tharivol entered the Mysterium in pursuit of Lowls and Mun on 23 Pharast, 4719 with Elder Lythiin, a dozen Stewards, Stazi, Stanhope, and Nheb, and as of the 28th, had not re-emerged.
In Act IV, Interlude Part 1, it was learned that Tharivol had been born in Kyonin, but lived many years in the small village of Pernryth on the eastern edge of the Verduran Forest, studying the faith of the Black Butterfly with his former mentor Cardariel.

Tharivol was driven insane at the sight of a Proto-Shoggoth on the second level of the Mysterium, manifesting in an almost ecstasy-like impulse to reveal himself to the dark mysteries infesting the corrupted site.
Tharivol was slain by a Shoggoth on the Cipher Obscura level of the Mysterium in Act IV Interlude Part 6.
Pandora was connected to Tharivol’s soul as he died through the psychometry vision she witnessed during the Act IV Interlude, and was able to determine that his soul would be willing to return from the afterlife if given the opportunity.
The main party found Tharivol’s corpse on the Cipher Obscura level during Chapter 180.
Tharivol was returned to life by Sister Thyrr in Chapter 184.
In Chapter 185, Tharivol shared in a vision/dream sent by The Prisoner.
