Elven female aristocrat. Compatriot of Dabwick in Cassomir, back in their early years. 108 years old in 4707. Daughter of a wealthy ambassador or consulate official or chancellor sent to Cassomir by Kyonin to keep an eye on their shipping concerns. Wanted to go to University, and hoped her parents would invest in her education. Had ambitions to be a Wizard.
During the first interlude of Act III, Alyanna was absorbed into a painting of Carcosa in Miacknian Mun’s house and forgotten by Dabwick.
After that incident, Alyanna’s mother abandoned her post in Cassomir and returned to Kyonin.
In Chapter 168, Dabwick dreamed of the shame they felt over having led Alyanna to be trapped in Mun’s painting for so many years.
In Chapter 169, she was released from the trap that took her to Carcosa eleven years earlier. She appeared to be not much aged, but was completely haunted and suffering severe psychological trauma. She obsessively stared into a mirror and spoke to someone she saw/heard within.
Despite all that Alyanna, Chet, and Sam had suffered in Carcosa (and the fact that they seemingly hadn’t had anything to eat except for grubs and mushrooms during all their years of exile), all three still seemed to be intrigued by the possibility of being returned back to the Empty City.
As she left Mun’s house with the party, she took possession of the painting that had trapped them so many years earlier, tucking it into her dress to keep it next to her heart.
In Chapter 170, as a battle with Grip’s Shachath Demon erupted in Dabwick’s apartment complex, Alyanna teleported away with Chet and Sam.
