On the night of the 1st of Abadius, instead of the party dreaming Xhamen-Dor‘s dreams, the Inmost Blot dreamed their dreams of dying:
Grip dreamt of standing atop the battlements at Sarnath, witnessing the approach of Bokrug. The Great Old One was surrounded by a sea of ghostly figures—Dr. Trice, and others he killed unjustly—and they were coming for him. Facing his imminent destruction, Grip embraced the power of his tattoos and called out to Nurgal to stand up to Bokrug because it is the only way anything meant anything.
Dora dreamt of being a formless entity entwined inside of Anathema‘s consciousness. She visualized a needle coming towards Anathema’s eye, a metaphor for someone’s attempt to perform psychic surgery on her, which would destroy Dora. Anathema was resisting, but the spell must be cast upon a willing creature and Dora was holding Anathema back. Dora released her hold, because she herself was nothing, and only Anathema was real.
Vik dreamt of peeking in on Dora as she slept, peaceful and at rest. Then he went to find a mirror and began trimming his facial hair. He saw the triangle pattern appear on his face, and his own reflection smiled at him. Vik exhaled and slashed his own throat. He was just so tired.
Dabwick dreamt of standing in the stone stairwell that lead up to the battlements at Sarnath, brandishing their staff before them, tense and tightened. Realizing that they were being pulled apart by the elements, they dropping their staff and opened themselves to the onslaught.
Barnabus dreamt of being back amongst the Sentinels. Geraldine was telling him his time had come, that the seed of Xhamen-Dor had progressed too far—and he knew he must surrender his life for the greater good.
